Rhinoplasty Issues
Some plastic surgeons caution individuals over 30 about rhinoplasty due to both elasticity of the skin and psychological issues.
Rhinoplasty is generally done under a sedative and anasthetic. Insicisions are made inside the nostrils and septum. Bone and cartilage may then be removed. During the post operation healing period, some individuals may need a splint. Bruising around the nosal area and eyes may subside after several weeks, but overall swelling may persist after rhinoplasty for several months. The overall visual benefits of rhinoplasty can be seen after the swelling has subsided.
